A little inspiration and a beautiful family….North Bay photographer

7 01 2010

I’m home!  Well almost…I’ve made it as far as Niagara Falls for a little post visit after the most amazing first few days of 2010, what a great way to bring in the New Year!  I’ve just spent 5 days in Connecticut at a wonderful photography convention called Mystic5 where 300 fellow photographers mostly from the USA and Canada gathered to listen to the best of the best teach.  The days were jam packed with more knowledge that I know what to do with, but I’ll be putting it all to good use in 2010.  I was so happy to be a part of it all and will defiantly be back for more next year!  P.s., you might even see some not so usual shots of me coming up on facebook soon!  I had the privilege of learning all about lighting and posing by dolling up and getting in front of the lens (a great experience and such a blast)!  Stay tuned for those.

So, back to work and a New year!  I got together with a wonderful family at the beginning of December to capture this daddy, mommy-to-be and their beautiful twin boys.  We had such a nice time together and the snow was perfect!  Enough said, here they are….

I love these photos….seriously some of my favorite wedding photos this season (I say that all the time, but I really love these)!  Jaimie and Mike are one heck of a cute couple and they were totally up for anything on their wedding day.  The sunlight was beautiful and the leaves were to die for, they were so lucky!  We live in such a beautiful area for the Fall colours, it’s magical to see, and to get married at this time of year is just dreamy.  Enjoy!  Here’s some of my favorites,  such a wonderful, happy couple…..

I got together with Teia and her family in Mattawa (just outside of North Bay) a few weeks back to capture her pregnancy and their family together.  Teia is beautiful and taking her photos was far from being difficult!  I could truly see how excited this family is to welcome their new arrival soon. I love pregnancy photos, it’s so nice to capture this unforgettable time in a couple’s life!  Best of luck Teia, your little boy is one lucky guy to have you as his mommy.  Here’s a few of my favorites….

I feel like I haven’t written a post in ages and ages!  I thought business and life would come to a bit of a halt in November but not so, this gal is still running off her feet!  I see a little light at the beginning of January, right in time to head down to Connecticut for Mystic5 (read all about it here).  Anyway, I have some big announcements coming up, and 2010 is looking so exciting!  For now I need to get with the program and blog about 50 shoots from 2009.  Here’s another one of my favorites: I got together with Nicola, Paul and their little guy Dean for a double whammy of a shoot.  We did some lovely family photos and then took off around town for some fun, here goes:
